Allow Us to Reintroduce Ourselves: Africare’s New Website

Hello and welcome to the new Africare website!

We really appreciate you visiting, so we’ve worked hard to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for. And while we were at it, we tried to make our site look a little nicer too!

If you’re curious about what exactly Africare does across Africa, check out the ‘Africare’s Approach’ graphic in the ‘What We Do’ section. Each weave in the design symbolizes one aspect of our integrated programs. Click on any piece to learn more about how Africare addresses that issue.

If you would like to learn about our operations in a certain country, browse the clickable map in the ‘Where We Work’ section. Click on any past or present Africare project country to get more details about our activities there historically and right now.

You can view the latest Africare stories on our home page or find certain kinds of posts like Africare News Releases and descriptions of Africare Events using the main menu at the top of the site, but we’re also excited to finally have a blog that collects all our posts. Search the site or browse the blog to quickly find the information you want. Each post is tagged with a ‘location’ and with ‘issues’ for you to jump quickly to more content on the regions and issues in Africa that matter to you most. The tags at the bottom of each blog post get really specific, so if you want to see more about what Africare has done with, let’s say, Maternal Waiting Homes, you can go for it! With our new blog, you should also expect to hear a lot more from our expert staff in Washington, D.C. and in our African country offices with first-hand perspectives about what is happening in the communities we serve.

To our generous supporters, you can visit our ‘How You Can Help’ and ‘Thank You Supporters!’ sections to find resources on how you can help Africare accomplish our mission and read spotlights on some of our committed donors and advocates.

Lastly, if you like what you see, feel free to share! Each story now has buttons right at the top to let you immediately post to social media.

Thanks so much for your visit. We hope to see you again soon!
